The EmpowerUP marketing team is one of the main promotional teams for the organization. They are focused mostly on promotion through existing social media accounts and monthly newsletters. The goals for last semesters team were to increase the user awareness, grow our social media accounts, and lastly to create templates for future teams that help drive engagement. One example of this is the team snapshot posts, which show a more behind the scenes view of each team.
The community newsletter is a great way to provide all the information we can in a condensed, easy to understand way. Last semester’s team had multiple newsletters, one which provided a good overview of each team and their goals; one which showcased a ton of the progress made at that point in the semester; and one that showed the final progress of each team, as well as the goals for the next team.
Our marketing team also manages the many social media accounts for EmpowerUP. On these accounts they post helpful info-graphics, team snapshots, and other information regarding EmpowerUP. One of the main goals for the social media accounts is to promote scholarships and provide information on applying for students who are in need of financial aid.
